GAZESTUDY / READING

Follow your
curiosity.

The lighthouse keeper climbed the spiral stairs every evening at the same hour.

From the top he could see the fishing boats returning, their lamps swinging with the swell.

He kept a small notebook in which he wrote the weather, the number of boats, and the names of the birds.

SMALL STEPS. USEFUL RESEARCH.

A few minutes.
A new perspective.

We’re exploring how camera images and on-screen targets can help us estimate gaze. You bring your natural way of reading.

01 / GET COMFORTABLE

Make yourself at home.

Read the study information, give your consent, and find a comfortable position with your phone.

02 / FOLLOW & READ

Let your eyes lead.

Follow a small marker, gently change position when asked, and read a short passage.

03 / FINISH & SAVE

Leave a little insight.

The app uploads your recording and confirms receipt. You can request deletion afterwards.

CLEAR BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Research needs trust.
Yours comes first.

The app records images of your face, target positions, and device and timing data. We explain what is collected before you consent.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.

Visit support →
Do I need an eye tracker?

No. The study uses a compatible iPhone’s front camera. It is research into gaze estimation, not a clinical or calibrated eye-tracking service.

Will you record my face?

Yes. Front-camera JPEG images can identify you and may include your surroundings. Read the privacy policy and choose a background without other people.

Can I stop after I begin?

Yes. You can pause or stop. A partial recording may still be saved; use Request deletion to withdraw it.

Where can I get the app?

Pilot participation is currently arranged by invitation. There is no public App Store listing linked here yet. Contact us about taking part.
